Unlawful deduction from wages tribunal decisions

Claims for money the worker says was earned and not paid: unpaid wages, unpaid notice, holiday pay, commission or deductions taken without written agreement. These are among the most common claims brought by workers in small firms.

What a decision does not tell you

A published decision is a record that a claim was decided. It is not a measure of whether an employer is solvent, whether its accounts are overdue, or what its directors have done at their other companies. Employers also win a substantial share of the claims brought against them, so read the judgment rather than counting the entries.
